Is Rhinoplasty Covered by Insurance?

Rhinoplasty is used to address cosmetic issues with the nose. Crooked presentation, bumps and ridges, issues with projection, nasal tip irregularities, asymmetry, and more can be corrected through cosmetic nose surgery.

In some cases, rhinoplasty will help to correct breathing difficulties caused by obstruction, which can help to improve overall breathing function, but by and large, it is considered a completely cosmetic procedure. As such, most insurance plans do not offer coverage for rhinoplasty.

While insurance is unlikely to cover the cost of your nose job, several financing options can help to make cosmetic nose surgery more affordable. At our office, we work with CareCredit®, a healthcare credit card that provides coverage for procedures not acknowledged by medical insurance companies. CareCredit® has several plans to choose from, including plans with 0% interest, to help meet the varied needs of individual patients. You can apply for financing on their website or we can provide you with additional information during your initial consultation.

In addition to special plastic surgery financing with CareCredit®, we accept all major credit cards, cash, and money orders for rhinoplasty procedures.
